Your Opportunity

 

We are seeking a detail-oriented and pro-active Retail Construction and F&M Project Manager to lead and oversee retail construction projects throughout the United States of America for our brand expansion. The ideal candidate will manage all phases of construction, from pre-construction planning through project closeout, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to brand standards. This role requires strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills, along with an understanding of the retail construction processes in North America. You will also play a supporting role in developing and implementing standardized procedures to improve store operations and vendor coordination.

 

How You Will Contribute

  • Oversee the full lifecycle of multiple retail construction projects, including ground-up, remodels, and tenant improvements.

  • Collaborate with internal teams (real estate, design, operations) and external stakeholders (architects, engineers, general contractors, landlords).

  • Manage project budgets, schedules, and scopes of work, ensuring cost-effective solutions.

  • Conduct site visits to monitor progress and ensure quality, safety, and code compliance.

  • Coordinate permitting and regulatory approvals with city agencies and DOB.

  • Source and negotiate with contractors and vendors, ensuring competitive pricing and quality work.

  • Proactively identify risks, delays, or budget overruns and implement mitigation strategies.

  • Maintain up-to-date project documentation and provide regular progress reports to leadership.

  • Ensure each location is delivered in alignment with brand standards and ready for store opening on schedule.

Job requirements

Who You Are

  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field (required).

  • Fluent in English (written and spoken); able to communicate clearly with internal teams and external partners.

  • 3-4 years of experience in retail construction project management, preferably in urban environments like NYC.

  • Strong understanding of NYC building codes, permitting processes, and union/non-union labor environments.

  • Willingness to travel to job sites as needed

  • Proven ability to manage multiple fast-paced retail projects simultaneously.

  • Proficient in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Procore, AutoCAD, Bluebeam).

  • Excellent communication, leadership, and negotiation skills.

  • OSHA certification and PMP or CCM designation are a plus.
